Georgian Grocery Shop Window.

The budget did not allow for an exact replica of the original, rotten 'bow-fronted' window. So we compromised and made a 'splay-bay' window instead using four, large double-glazed units. This design seemed to keep everyone happy, including the conservation officer.

Sustainable timber of the week : Douglas Fir.

Straight grained, virtually knot free, high strength to weight ratio, grown in the U.K. and a joy to work with. It even smells great, what more could you want from a timber ?

Farmhouse Windows.

Traditional casement windows for my aunt's farmhouse in Umberleigh overlooking the river Taw. A truly beautiful spot in the valley.

Oak Ledged & Braced Door.

 Every now and then I will drive past a door that I have made but forgotten about. I made this oak, ledged and braced door and frame about four years ago for a cottage in Umberleigh. It had no finish applied to it apart from a coat of timber treatment and appears to be weathering nicely !
