Georgian Grocery Shop Window.

The budget did not allow for an exact replica of the original, rotten 'bow-fronted' window. So we compromised and made a 'splay-bay' window instead using four, large double-glazed units. This design seemed to keep everyone happy, including the conservation officer.

Sustainable timber of the week : Douglas Fir.

Straight grained, virtually knot free, high strength to weight ratio, grown in the U.K. and a joy to work with. It even smells great, what more could you want from a timber ?

Farmhouse Windows.

Traditional casement windows for my aunt's farmhouse in Umberleigh overlooking the river Taw. A truly beautiful spot in the valley.

Oak Ledged & Braced Door.

Every now and then I will drive past a door that I have made but forgotten about. I made this oak, ledged and braced door and frame about four years ago for a cottage in Umberleigh. It had no finish applied to it apart from a coat of timber treatment and appears to be weathering nicely !

Gable End Storage.

Multi-purpose storage in Poplar and M.D.F. Ready for painting. Designed in detail by Rebecca in Guildford, Surrey. Rebecca is a keen seamstress and upholsterer and designed this furniture around her interests.

Displacement Hulls.

I like simple, clean, understatement when it comes to design. In surfboards, this is demonstrated in the displacement hull developed by Greg Liddle. One flexy fin + one bellied hull + low rocker + one 'S' deck = smooth, buttery trimming.

Multi-purpose Room.

Painted Poplar multi-function furniture for Guy and Lara in Shirwell. The chocolate brownies never did materialize.

Cottage Office.

Painted Poplar/M.D.F. workstation for Johnathon and Helena in Landkey. Makers of possibly the finest Latte in North Devon.

Free-standing Kitchen Units.

Contemporary kitchen designed by the Mrs. Thanks to Geoffrey for the job-lot of quality Douglas Fir. Why have cupboards when you can have drawers ?

Michael Marriott.

Fellow 'geezer' maker, Michael Marriott carrying on the East End tradition of cabinet making. We're not all Viscounts you know.

Pilton Worktop

European Oak workstation with 'Waxoil' finish for Fiona and Seamus in Pilton. Seats three workers comfortably.

Stoke Rivers Barn Conversions.

Barn conversions almost always require bespoke joinery and this group of five was no exception. Ready made doors and windows just don't fit old agricultural buildings.

Melle Mel at The Camden Palace.

The silver-tongued Melle-Mel performing live at The Camden Palace. When Hip Hop was funky and Rappers were as camp as Christmas. Wish I had been there.
